In Lisbon and both this morning and yesterday evening the air is thick with Swifts. Regular parties screaming low over the buildings. I haven't seen this many for decades. Absolutely fantastic to watch.

Just read that with one brief scream from a swift outside. Though can see 4 or 5 flying about. Mostly wood pigeons or blackbird noise though. And cars. Lots of cars.

Nice. Looks like an urban Stonehenge nearly.

I looked round the corner and could see at least 12 swifts at one point here. I’m wondering if they’re fledged young because not noticed this many before.

I had mewing buzzards above the house earlier. Two flying close together, don't know if parent and chick or breeding pair.

I tried lots of pics of various martins & swallow in the week, but they were all too fast & random for me.

The grass in the Bury Field parkrun field is being cut today. I have counted 23 red kites circling over the cut material.
