Red Squirrel
Resident flock of corn buntings on organic farmland where I volunteer. South west England. They get quite close to us soil toilers, twittering away.

Couldn't see it tonight, but we had a barn owl hissing at us from a tree as we walked past with the dogs.
I think I've seen and heard more owls this year than every year of my life. Some really cool sights too. They're such fantastic creatures.

Curlews again in the field at the back this morning. Again, larger numbers today. Tried counting, but difficult to get an exact figure, about 150 today. Several little egrets as well, possibly a great white egret as well, but frustrating too far away to tell. Need the little egrets or the heron to go near to give me a size guide

Red Squirrel, it's a real treat to see corn buntings in this country. Lucky you!

Me neither. Definitely on my 'want' list though.

I’ve seen corn bunting but in Beachy Head Marathon land or maybe Kent, not East Midlands or North

I've seen corn buntings 3-4 times in Norfolk and once in Hertfordshire (to my surprise in an oilseed rape field). Always a treat to see, though.
