154 Rob, envious of your sightings! I'm in north west Scotland myself and not seeing as much as I had hoped, although enjoying glorious weather. I did, however, get the best sighting I've ever had of a hen harrier today, quartering a bit of moorland in south Skye. I have never seen the white rump so clearly before - it was really striking.

Three Swifts here yesterday and a report elsewhere in Derbyshire of a Cuckoo. Waxwings are way off 😉

We get Swallows here in South East Wales into early November and a bit beyond sometimes. Hmm but I ain't seeing any at all even now. And I think this year will be my first in sixty years of not seeing a Swift at all.
Chiffchaff singing, Robin and Great Tit too this morning.

Outside my window right now is the biggest flock of house martins I have ever seen! Literally hundreds of them swirling over the house and garden. Just wow 😍

I think I've seen about 5 house martins in total this year.

Peregrine falcon today and I wasn't even excited 🙈 after two pods of playful common dolphins and minke whales twice. Gannets diving now a common sight!
Thing is, we're all here for basking sharks.....none of them yet but the other species have been great ✔

Hundreds of geese gathering in a field next to the cottage I am staying in...
And loads of gulls pecking away at masses of flying ants. And lots of different song birds from my normal fare. I need to get used to them ☺️I am on the North Cornish coast for the weekend!

I saw a little grebe on the river near home last night. That's the first one I've ever seen here, in 20 years or so.
