First Buzzard along my run route for a long time. Occurrences have dwindled almost in line with a hugely reduced rabbit population thanks to build up of housing developments.

Someone else said it here a few days ago (derby?)-- not one singing bird at all today.
Ah..Goshawk quite frequent there then flanker, still worth Bird tracking yours though.

Still inundated with house sparrows! They are now all over the wisteria!

Not today mind, tipping it down.
Did spot one bedraggled blue tit outside the window earlier.

Think I may have mentioned this before - apologies if so. It is interesting to me that by far the predominant urban gull in Norwich is now the lesser black backed gull. They are here in far greater numbers than the herring gulls and black headed gulls, which used to be the main town gulls. Anyone else seeing this where they live?

LBBG quite common here but we’re a long way from the sea. Handsome birds

The gull roost here had 4000 LBBGs one evening earlier this week out of less than 4500 total (400 of which were BhGs). Watching them come in from the surrounding countryside as the lights starts to drop is quite a sight.

Interesting about the gulls, definitely still herring gulls here, although quite a few LBBG. You're lucky though, in my experience the LBBG is far less aggressive in attacking runners during breeding season

I’ve never had a LBBG attempt to steal a pasty from me in Lyme Regis. A much classier species than the herring for sure :-)

LBBGs used to be an interesting sighting for me, to be remarked upon even though they weren't a rarity as such. It's strange how they've become so common, at least inland. I wonder will the common gull ever become common? 😀
