Just been sent a copy of a tweet reporting the Eagle this afternoon seen flying low exactly where I was at pretty much the same time. Nice to have confirmation

Oddly it's only a short distance from where I saw the Lammergeier last year.

FF, what a fabulous sighting. I'll be looking out for these and golden eagles in a few days time - heading off to western Scotland, my favourite place on earth. (Also, sadly, the favourite place of a trillion midges).

Two swifts here today.

Sadly, no eagles.

(I did have a great view of a sea eagle on Mull this June. It flew low, directly overhead.)

Hann the Lammergeier headed off back to the continent last autumn. It did have a holiday down Norfolk way first then drifted back to Yorkshire before finally departing.

Down in the ff's neck of the woods at the weekend (probably), and I doubt even I could miss a flying barn door. Fingers crossed...

J2R.. yes , LBBG's are the predominant breeding city gull here in Cardiff, about 80 pairs in 2020. Breed on factory rooftops and houses... including mine this year!
