For some reason we've had loads of swifts over the garden in the last few days, far more than a month or so ago.

After yesterday's help (thanks!), I caught some of our young starling visitors today.

Need ID help pse with bird of prey on a thermal. South west England, inland but close to river. Russet wings, smaller than a buzzard definite white colouring at base of trail. Think tail was forked but not sure. Thought red kite but couldn't see white markings on pics.

Worth thinking about sparrowhawk if you see soaring small - medium raptors Red. Female is a decent size. King tail and kind of rounded wings
