Blackap singing loudly and daily in the garden, Goldfinches regularly visiting the bird bath.
The Lesser Black Backed Gulls that nested on my/my neighbours chimney stack hatched two chicks. One fell and died before gaining many feathers, the other fell down the chimney and behind the sealed fireplace of the neighbours. It was there for four days scratching around without food or water. The neighbours removed the sealing of bricks and mortar on the fourth day and the bird, fully fledged looked fine and walked around their garden! RSPCA then came to take it to local sanctuary. What a survivor!

What’s the rule for humans? 3 mins without air, 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food? Obviously a tough young gull whatever
