Weโ€™ve been on Flying Finnโ€™s patch today.

OYKs, Reed bunting, Reed warbler, whitethroat, blackcap, willow warblers, Chiffs, heard a sedge warbler and finished off with a Lesser Spotted Flying Finn and a cup of coffee ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

That last one has sadly been a rarity for too long and is good to see reported phal :-)

Heard a cuckoo in Sherwood Forest today, to the west of Edwinstowe. Also several chiffchaffs, willow wobblies, skylarks, a partridge and many hailstones.

Bumbled is probably a better description Phal ๐Ÿ˜‚

With the binos I found the 3 Oyc chicks at the Wildlife Centre (which I knew were there) but I then started cheating and got the scope out to look for the Great Northern Diver. I found it hiding way out on the far side and even with a scope it was only just discernible but I then found a small collection of waders on the shingle at the sailing club. Three Ringed Plover, a Common Sandpiper and a Dunlin very resplendent in it's black summer bib.
