Have changed my mind. I think Gooner is right! I've just seen a similar photo on the BTO weekly round up site. I'm going for Red Kite.

Maybe an obvious question but have you tried googling the site? There are a surprising amount of birders blogs - both groups and individual

Go to The Bedfordshire Bird Club (Google or Bing) and maybe get in touch with a listed contact.

Quite a bit later than usual for my walk in the park which meant birds were less active and so harder to spot. Just some spuggies (sparrows), blackbird, crow, pigeons and the scruffiest blue tit I ever saw with barely a feather on its head. Still nice to be out and practising with my camera.

Scribbler look out for young birds in the coming days and weeks. Blue tit young look like adults that haven’t been ‘coloured in’ yet

Young goldfinch earlier - looked boring and brown from the front, but had its gold bars on its tail

DT when I get the pic off by big camera onto Fetch I'll share here, but it looked too big to be a juvenile. More like an old timer that had been in a scrap!

Other this is many adult birds are more or less solely focussed on bringing up youngsters atm so usual preening etc gets neglected. We have a pair of great tit in a hole in the back of our house and they are constantly bringing food to their next. Their work level is incredible
