I meant to take my phone out on my run so I could send you a recording DT they seem to be here in force, no Blackcaps/Willow Warblers yet though and there were still winter thrushes around over the weekend.

Rosehip
Hear my first chiffchaff this morning We've had a couple of years where the magpie population seemed to have delcined locally - not this year though, 9 together along one piece of hedgerow just now. |

Interesting, Rosehip. I've seen something similar in recent months which I don't recall seeing before, large groups of magpies together. Maybe they're planning their takeover from humans.

Well heard all the Chiffchaff hunters! They're all over the place here in South East Wales...as are Blackcaps. I heard five Blackcaps singing along a stretch of river trail this morning.

Today was like summer here. Red admiral butterfly seen in garden after peacock yesterday. Think I heard a distant chiff too
