They hatched during storm Dennis, about the 16th Feb; so yes, very early.
(I haven't actually seen them, I've just been following their progress on (appropriately) twitter).

Lots of singing around about, the garden is strangely bereft of birds at the moment, although the new residents, the chaffinches are still daily visitors.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Love the traffic light thrushes. I guess they get a bit of warmth from the light but not too much as the amber light is on for the shortest amount of time.

Some big groups of curlew on the fields just below the moor; up to 50 or so. Some smaller groups of lapwing, and a flock of golden plover too. And my first frogspawn of the year. It must be spring.

Just bought the Collins Bird guide which is helping with my very basic bird identification knowledge. OH photographed a yellow-throated sparrow at WWT Washington today which was a new one for both of us.
