Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Mine were in close to the Lancs / Yorks border flanker on the Leeds - Liverpool canal near Foulridge. I saw a pair near Colne fairly recently too

I saw a robin yesterday and thought "I haven't seen one of them for a while".
Today I saw some pheasants and thought "I haven't seen them for a while".

Nice waders DT. Not long since bagged my first Fieldfare of the winter. Several hundred just outside Shap as I left my overnight van roost at Wet Sleddale reservoir. There were big numbers reported in Derbyshire yesterday as well. Keep your eyes peeled DT!

There was also a report of a Manx Shearwater at home yesterday that the local Peregrine then came within inches of turning into lunch! 😯

I saw what might have been three fieldfare over the house on Sunday and what could have been a flock of 20 or so redwing later in the day but I haven’t ‘got my eye in’ yet. Not long now

Called at Rudston yesterday on way from coast in hope of barn owl but no luck. I did manage to get my car covered in mud though :-(

Barn Owl flew across the road in front of us on tWednesday night's club run, looking ephemeral caught in headtorch light. Tend to forget what we take for granted, as a couple of people asked 'was that an owl?'
