Noticing lots of tits and small birds out and about round the fields/paths/woods here too DT - hedges are chocker! Sounds beautiful 😀

Not many making in to our garden still though....

Got my first photos this year of a bittern at my local reserve. It teased us for two hours as we knew where it was but it wouldn’t show itself. Then just before I left, it appeared balancing on a load of reeds.

We’ve been to Fraisthorpe beach near Bridlington this afternoon . Around 20 oystercatcher seen and maybe a similar amount of sanderling too heart

Yes Phal, there are signs to the viewing place which is on the river path near the old hide and the bund. Good for sparrowhawks at the same time, also a lot of jackdaws and crows not far away.

I saw a little bird feeding in the harbour yesterday which I can't identify. I first thought it might be an avocet but it was smaller with a shorter, straight beak but distinctly black and white.
