Bempton is fantastic. You can even get a shag if you’re lucky (fnarr, fnarr)

not had a shag for years ;-)

although we did get 100s of puffins in the arctic. Brilliant birds, even if they don't look real.

Fantastic DT.

Sandwich Terns for me this morning, only two, but hopefully the precursor to more. Still no swifts

No-one seems to have seen Spotted Fly yet.
Pretty quiet along a running route this early morning and only Cetti's, Whitethroat and Blackcap giving any "wellie" in respect of song. Had a good view of the Cetti's for a change.
Raptors, other than the resident Buzzrads nearby are not a frequent sighting for me--Merlin is ace DT.

Fragile Do Not Bend
The poor female GSW that visits my feeders is looking a right state, feathers damp looking and sticking up in places, the white feathers are a dirty brown colour. I’m guessing she is being run ragged looking after chicks and has no time to look after herself?

First swifts for me yesterday. Impromptu afternoon off work due to a broken car, so a stroll round the river and there they were.
