Can never decide is Duddon or Eskdale is my favourite part of the Lakes; beautiful, quieter places. And some great pubs in both.
(and at other times it's the central fells and Wasdale, when I feel I can face people on *my* hill ;-)!).

Drat can't gatecrash on the 28th after all
Youngest and I shall be camping nr Caldbeck from Thurs 31st (or if I can wangle it Wed 30th) to the Sunday. Who's around? Which parkrun should I aim for on the Sat? Youngest has been tasked with choosing which fells we're going to aim for - OL4,5 and 6 are all missing from the bookshelf

If you're on any hill before 10am or after 4pm you'll have peace. The masses don't seem to congregrate on the fells outside of those hours

Planning to be at Workington parkrun that weekend. It's worth a visit.

Adding to the parkrun tourism would be good - youngest can hold the dog and/or volunteer if needed
