Glorious walk today From Wastwater.. sup Kirk fell( via the hause) and descended via Kirk crags ( never again.. the clue was in the name).

Then up Pillar / Stoat fell and Steeple ( first visit. Loved that place)

Descended including Red Pike and the long track on the side of Yewbarrow valley.

Jiggered. And very happy.

We always have head torches with us at this time of year.. and today it was a good call
Descending always takes longer than I expect

It was! .. we arrived with some fog on Kirk fell .. but it soon cleared.

We even had a clear sky with a good moon after the sun set.

Only downside was some of the rocks were quite greasy. Not nice on the descents.

2/2 excellent views for Ben Nevis (100% success rate)

Snowdon probably 50%.

Scafell Pike also around 50%.

Clearly Skiddaw reads its visitor reviews because after the slagging I gave it recently for never giving me a view on numerous visits over 30 or 40 years yesterday it presented me with this and barely a breath of wind...
