Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Let's be seeing more of your winter Lake District pics, don't have to be from this winter - any year will do :-) I hope this one comes out well, it's a panorama of St Johns in the Vale ....

Mmmm. Maybe that one doesn't have the same impact here as it does on my screen at home. Here's another one of yrs truly on the Helvellyn range, Calfhow Pike I think. A staggering day of dramatic skies and inversions .....

I've looked through what pics of mine I can find and the only ones that were taken in winter were in the clag on the Ullock/Longside ridge one December and glorious sunshine on Latrigg in February - and the only reason it looks like Feb is mum has her winter coat and wooly hat on!.

I should have pics of snow on the tops taken from Glenridding, but I can't find them :(
