I'm with you on that V. I'm planning a return to the marathon next spring but if it doesn't happen then something like this would be very tempting.... but as a fast walk...waaaaaaaay to far to run for me

I might consider a long weekend in the lakes - just to wave and shout at you all. Participating? - no way

I've just had an email confirming that Windermere is off. Not surprising, I suppose.

"The challenges we face with access, car parking, registration, race start and finish are such that we cannot guarantee social distancing and control the risk of COVID-19 transmission in a way that is safe for participants, volunteers, the event delivery team and the general public. Continued local lockdowns in parts of the country also add to the complexities of delivering an event of this scale that is safe for everyone."

Langdale still appears to be on.

I've asked for a switch to Langdale, a week earlier, but I think I may have just committed to something else ... delicate domestic negotiations to follow!

Funny you should ask, V'rap!

It's not all bad: I think I may have promised someone a few days on the SWCP, but I do like an opportunity to visit the Lakes. :-)

Langdale date didn’t work for me so I’ve left mine for the charity.

Might go for the loop next year instead

At the moment I don't have any notion of Langdale despite having enjoyed the half and endured the full in the past, but I might feel differently in a month's time.

Langdale half does appeal, but I won't transfer (well not unless mum fancies a hotel-break long weekend and then I might :) )
