Commonwealth games was never going to attract the best athletes, that's why no one wants it.

Also WA are trying to ensure we don't have the years without a big global comp in the four cycle going forward.

Yomif Kejelcha 57:30 at the Valencia half marathon, taking one second off the men's world record. Agnes Ngetich first woman in 1:03:04. Less than ideal weather, it seems.

Really pleased to see Kejelcha get a major accolade like that. He's had success but always seems to be the runner animating races or driving them early but rarely gets the ultimate reward. That may be a completely flawed assessment of him, but it's my emotional response!

James Thie finished in 2:38 (336th). Not bad at all for a M45 former middle-distance runner.

World Treadmill Championships?

Thought it was April 1. Though I suspect the source might be equally as a joke.

Am I being churlish to dismiss this as nonsense?

Sounds great. Ramp up the speed gradually, last one ejected off the back is the winner!

Though....didn't Gladiators already do this, pretty much?

Now that you put the idea like that it could be much more entertaining. 😊
