Yes, I'm appalled that others will now know how slow I am. Especially as they decided several months after I entered to tell me that my results were mine and only mine. I feel violated and in protest will never run a marathon again.

But actually, credit where it's due: they realised they'd been daft and did something about it.

I'm not bothered if people know how slow I am, I only do it for the t shirt..... They have my address so maybe I'll get one sent out this year. :-(

Is it a case of listening to the runners who wanted for disclosure or listening to the IAAF, who would threaten their status as a bronze label race? Either way..they've done the right thing!

Doesn't matter who changed their mind, just that they did. :)

Indeed Santababy, it is the change of position that counts

And if you don't appear in the first 1500 results ( :) ) then you can assign your result to your listing as the following instructions from Run Britain show

The internal results pages by default only show the first 1500 performances to any race but we have all the performances on. You can assign yours to your profile via the Add Performances page on runbritainrankings .(http://www.runbritainrankings.com/user/claimhandicap.aspx once logged in).

select the Add Performance tab
Select the distance of the race you are assigning - continue
Select the year - continue
Find the race is the drop down menu and enter your finish time in the final boxes - select look up

Your result will be checked against the full results and then assigned to your record.

Your Power of 10 log in details work on runbritainrankings too.

Signed up to EMF marathon last night. Anyone else doing it? Or one of the other EMF races?

Pretty...
