only weak men
Hi all, hope the preparations are going well and the forecast looks favourable. I'm only cheering on Sunday but have any previous runners or locals got any advice for spectating? My mate should be approx 4 hour pace so if we see him off at the start at 10:00 where would be feasible for getting to on public transport to cheer on a couple of times and get back for the finish at 14:00? |

I've decided that I'm still going to do the half. Even though I have done no training. I promised myself that in 2014 I would not have a DNS or DNF. So Sunday will be a mix of run, walk crawl..mostly walking I would think. Has to be better than a DNS though . |

Thunder and Lightning, happy days - at least I'm only doing the half so may not get the worst of it! Good luck everyone!

only weak men - there is a mini-fetchpoint thread here : http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=56096 We now have two different locations in place so you can do one or both (they are both within a mile or two of the finish line) and you can find public transport links through Lothian Buses website: lothianbuses.com Be aware that the buses out of the city centre follow a similar route to the marathon course so are likely to be a good bit slower than timetabled. Fares are £1.50 per single journey or £3.50 for an all day pass - exact change only and no return tickets! |
