From what I can ascertain, JK, someone (woman probably) made someone else (husband? lover?) a tuna bake. There is much debate about whether this is acceptable. I don't know what the someone else thought about it on The Archers. That may or may not be important to the story line.

It was a crucial episode in a long drawn out 'coercion and control' storyline which culminated in the wife stabbing her evil husband, JK.

Joking about tunabake (and indeed, shop bought or home-made custard) provided a little light relief for the poor listeners to this dark and unsettling plot.
