Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Today's Newt Jingle is my plan for Resolution Runners tonight - we're going to do a timed out and back run - 20 minutes and then turn from wherever you are - see who gets back first :)

I drove to work before I'd had any coffee this morning. That doesn't happen often :-O

I thought last night that I might get up when eL Bee! left to go to Wales and do an Early Crew run on the treadmill, which would have been a genuine newt jingle, but I realised in the morning that this was a stupid idea and I'd run better in the evening, and went back to sleep instead.

One of my colleagues brought in home made chocolate brownies full of chunks of halva and drizzled with tahini. That's definitely a newt jingle for me :)

(Very good, too, though I think I'd have added some salt to the tahini.)

Franco Manca pizza was lovely yesterday - daughter pronounced the second best in her extensive experience. I can't say I like the US-style food court set up though. There's another sourdough pizza place near here which we haven't tried yet (Honor Oak Park for the locals) - must tick that off soon.

Yet another foodie one for me today, trying out a recipe for rye bread. Mix it today, bake it tomorrow.

Mothering Sunday is the first weekend of March this year.

Not sure about this one, but I'm sitting at home working in a woolly hat because I'm so bloody cold. It's mainly because I've been totally inactive all day and I'm tired, but it's also, erm, bloody cold. The hat is doing the trick, though. :)

We're going to that pizza place tomorrow, SK!
I get cold sitting round the house too Linds, despite frequent forays to the kitchen...
I met a new bunch of people at uni today, went to a coffee thing and nagged them to come to my event :)
I also tried an online transcription tool today which I saw on Twitter. The results were laughable, much much worse than SarahL's dictated blogs. Sigh, back to the old fashioned really difficult method.
