Also cooked a new recipe - Cuban beef in the slow cooker. It was very tasty and the beef was very tender, but I don’t know what was Cuban about it, unless you count the beef being diced to start with?
(Cube/dice - geddit?)

That's a great newt, V'rap. Cuban beef? Interesting. Does having no taste put you off eating, .B.? It sounds awful.

It’s difficult for cooking, but I do really hope it comes back. Doesn’t stop me eating unfortunately as I have lard to shift!

I like the idea if trying crochet. Last tried when I was at junior school but only managed basic knitting back then. Can still do basic knitting, but crochet might be fun.

Are there any flavours that you can taste or has it all gone?

I can taste salt and also if something is sweet or savoury. I think that is because those flavours are on my tastebuds on my tongue and they are not affected. I had no smell at all, now occasionally I can get the edge of a smell (difficult to describe) but mostly no smell and therefore no taste.

I usually have a really sensitive sense of smell, so am missing it.
