Gorgeous :-) and have a hug LGJ
I have newted a cake it isn’t perfect but I even had a go at icing it and that pleases me, as I’ve lost quite a lot of faith in my cake making abilities

Bit dry to be fair but still good enough to eat :-) I was going to try one of the Jane’s Patisserie cookie bars but found I needed FIVE packs of mini eggs plus assorted chocolate

I've seen Phal's work, Gimme, and a portrait of Mad Dog Jess is right up her street - what a lovely present for Mr Gimme that will be.

Dipps that cake looks very EATABLE. Not too dry with all that icing on top, surely! Looks a bit buttercreamy to me.... but perhaps not.

I really don't like those stupid cakes that look like plasticine models.

I made some of my Retro Chocolate Lunch Buns using saved black bean water from my Mexican Mole at weekend as well as one egg and mixed grain bread flour. Am obviously Goddess of Cuisine.

I have actually made a vegan black bean cake which I rather liked. I’ll put the recipe in the gallery. It wasn’t the kind of thing you could chuck hundreds and thousands over though and I wanted to try using a piping set

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
