And another Newt CD in the player, it was next to the previous one, also in cellophane still. They are part of a Naxos 5 cds for £20 offer... Going to see if there are more in other boxes. This is a re-mastering of Pablo Casals playing Dvoraks Cello concerto and Brahms double concerto for violin and cello.

Got a proper letter in the post today from the friend that I wrote to at the beginning of the month. It's lovely to receive letters - I shall write to another friend this weekend. When I was a youngster I wrote loads of letters and got at least one a week. It's one thing I miss and will do my best to reinstate this year.

It is lovely to get letters isn’t it! A lady from our running club wrote me a really chatty letter back early April last year when we were in lockdown! It really lifts the spirits getting a proper letter!

I spent part of yesterday going through my training log from 2016 and 2017. Those were the years I set all my PBs and was most consistent. It reminded me that a favourite long run was to run to parkrun (about 7 miles) run the parkrun fairly hard and then run home again.
So I tried to replicate that on my long run today with 6 faster ks in the middle of an 18 mile run. Why 6? I can’t count!
So the Newt for me is a (not)parkrun sandwich!
Re the counting thing, it’s worrying as I’m an accountant by trade... Mrs a always maintains I’m rubbish at numbers unless there’s an m at the end!

I saw some wild snowdrops on my run today all alone with nothing else about them and rather sad and windswept

I saw a clump of miniature daffodils in our front garden this morning that I am sure I have never seen before in all the time we have lived here. I asked BaronBR about them and he claimed to not know of their existence either. Thank goodness we didn't move a few weeks ago as was first anticipated or I might never have known.....rather worrying that as neither of us planted them they must have just grown unnoticed for 8 years though!

Newt today was going walking instead of running with my friend as she forgot her shoes! It was still nice though and we walked pretty fast
