The GP has told me to switch to decaf tea. Can anyone recommend a brand that actually tastes like tea and not sawdust?
I like my brew Nato standard -- strong enough for the spoon to stand up by itself, with milk and sugar.

Tetley The decaf tastes the same as the normal but needs a bit longer brewing

Yorkshire tea. Their decaf is excellent! Even Mr Ness will drink it and he's from Yorkshire and very fussy about his tea. šš

You don't fancy Rooibos/Redbush? It's naturally decaffed (in that it's not strictly a tea plant I think) but Liebling drinks it as per normal tea with milk etc

A supermarket own brand was binned after one cup. PG Tips is vaguely tolerable but a bit of a nothing really.
Tetleys and Yorkshire, you say. To be actioned, thanks!

Not hugely keen on Rooibos (known as Rubbish round here) but not had it for a while. But since I have to adjust my taste in brews maybe it's due a revisit.

Wife drinks Rooibos. Iād prefer the water collected after washing my fell shoes. Iād go with Yorkshire, well mashed

It does sometimes look like the water in a peat bog, that's true

We have supermarket own decaf, I found that once Iād made the mental shift to stop thinking about it as a substitute for proper tea, but rather a different sort of beverage, I stopped expecting them to taste the same and soon got used to it

I am picky when it comes to tea and have always avoided cheap teas. Since I moved to decaf however, I use Aldis own which are about 1.39 for 80. Taste great to me!
