I’ve run along quite a few of his (Wades) roads in the Highlands and I think the WHYW is made up of some of them.
Wade gets a bit too much credit, Cauldfeild too little.

Indeed, there are a number of "Wades" bridges in the highlands which were nothing to do with GW

Proud to be in a part of the UK that is rejecting the tax cuts for the already very wealthy and high income earners. If only we were truly independent of these horrible, money grabbing, morally abhorrent leeches running the UK into the ground, while lining their own pockets and that of their big donor friends, at the expense of the poorest in society. Shame on them.

Can't fault your thinking, HG. I wish we were all rid of the dangerous idiots.

HG I agree with most of what you say. I have written a reply in my head a few times but don’t want to go over old wounds.

I was however thinking on my run home tonight on some what if scenarios. So let’s say Scotland were independent and truss/kwarteng pulled the current stunt, would Scotland be totally immune from the impact or would our close ties mean we felt some impact anyway. Also would the impact differ if we were at different stages of the snp strategy of (i) using the pound or a Scottish currency pegged to the pound (ii) a Scottish pound with our own central bank or (iii) in the euro.

A rare Zorba contribution we can all agree with. A man who led an 'interesting' life!

Interesting chat between a “yoon” if that’s the right term and someone pro independence

Yes a good read. Not often a Nat admits their vote is emotional.

Both sound like a level headed pair and had a good debate. That is unusual on this topic.
