Eleven days to go, ten if your running the D99.
How’s the training going everyone?
I’m really looking forward to it. I just hope the weather is better this year.

Training was going great up to a week ago, was doing regular 70+ mpw and a longest run of 29, then got sore calf/achilles last Wednesday
Had 4 days off, thought I might have to miss out, but managed 3 yesterday and 8 today, so fingers crossed it might be back on track again !
Any locals been out on the course towards Banchory - how muddy are the sections out there, I believe they can get a bit squelchy ? How long are those sections, just the odd 50-100 yards here and there, or a few miles ?
Road shoes without too much grip ok, or going to need trail shoes ?

It’s been very dry here the last few days. I ran from drum to Banchory last week and path was dry. But anything can happen weather wise between now and then.

Quite a bit of rain forecast for the next week or so though. It is really dry just now. The boggy bit behind Scolty might be extra boggy by next weekend.
