NJ - I *am* a size 9 happily enough, but would that involve me having to have fancy pedals? I am also a bit nervous about the falling over aspect

Why do pros go full razor-blade? Because they prize efficiency above all Because they have undercarriages the texture of crocodile hide Because they have the best, and best-fitted, saddles and shorts which money can buy Because in competition they have soigneurs to cream them up morning and night. My mountain bike has a moderately padded saddle from Lidl which has lasted 10-15 years.; my cruiser bike has a well padded fat-ass saddle which does feel a bit soft after three hours or so; my road bike has a very nice Selle Italia saddle, on the comfort end of road bike. It used to be white. Some cheap bikes are sold with saddles which only belong in one place - the bin! When you can get eg this for £15 there's no reason to put up with a poor saddle wiggle.co.uk Actually Fetch, have you told us about your bike? What about a picture of it? |

I still use the saddles that came with all my bikes but had proper bike fittings with them all too. Am noticing that I cant tolerate the turbo as much as I can being out on the bike, sadly no idea when I will get back out on the bike in the fresh air again, dog walk wins every day for my one exercise. |

Here it is: I got it back in 2015, when I was still with Hearst Rodale, under the cycle to work scheme (although I have yet to ride it through the house) so I got to pay for it over the course of a year. I must admit to not using it anywhere near as much as its finery justifies. I think this is the model: bikeradar.com |

Just looked back at my biking mileage. My biggest year was 2011, and I did a heady 272 miles - but I'm proud of that, because it was on my stepson's old school bike, and the chain kept coming off We did a couple of sprint triathlons that year. Sum total of 98 miles in the last three years. A large part of that is cycling to and from Box End with Katie; or else bezzing round the local 10k to support people. |

I got my Giant Liv (?) through bike to work scheme I've still got the seat that came with it as the bike is white (with purple strip) and therefore the seat is white. I kept my old seat off the old bike but it's black and stupidly I have never swapped it over cos a black seat on a white bike looks silly! Maybe I should give it a go?! |

My Giant Liv was my 50th birthday present. Mine is white with two shades of blue and I still love it 4 years later - this is the one that is currently sat on the Turbo as it is my summer bike. My winter road bike is a Scott and is probably my favourite of all my bikes. The hybrid is a due for replacement this year hopefully. |

I do like my Liv (Tabitha) and she is on the turbo too complete with Tablet holder (halfords) to distract me from the garage door I only have 1 other bike which is about 20 year old 5 gear hybrid which I use when I want to get muddy maybe once or twice a year. My sons GF used it once and changed the seat height and I've never got it back the same since which is annoying |
