I think after their innings today Ballance and Vince have got themselves in for Old Trafford. Maybe question marks over Finn, Moeen and Ball depending on fitness of Stokes and Anderson.

Good test match, worrying that our old frailty against spinners still lurks, maybe a bit better second innings but work to do.
Have to say if Kevin Peiterson had done exactly what Joe Root did in this test there'd be a phalanx of people in the game (and on this thread) queuing up to slag him off and accuse him of wasting his talent/being selfish.
This is far from the first time, and currently far too often at the moment he gets past 50, looks serene and in control then chucks his wicket away with a stupid shot. Reminds me a little of when Cook was trying to turn himself into an ODI player and it ruined his test form because he lost his way re occupation of the crease and playing the most important shot in test cricket: the leave.
Brilliant player, obviously and still hugely in credit but he should be turning these knocks of 70 odd into test match defining first innings daddies a bit more often than he does currently. Time for a quiet word, methinks.
Given weather forecast OT could be a spinning, reverse swinging dust bowl so we're up against it in this series. At least Jimmy and Stokes should be back, time for the Rash instead of Ali?

I was listening mostly yesterday and basically Root got a bit of stick, if you listen to Cook, he was also reminding him, "senior" players and all that, senior means Root now.
Shah, only the second overseas spinner to get 10 wickets at Lords(Ramadhin) so they said and the first spinner since, 1974, Underwood.
