Sri Lanka batted well and I'm not sure that this is anything other than a dead pitch. I think their first innings was woeful and maybe 300 was par.
Cook now getting 10k runs at Durham and England fail to win by an innings, messing up both my predictions!

If Hales bats like other Notts openers this week, it could be 280 at lunch

Hmm Compton is back to the county i think to re discover his form, perhaps permanently, so early in his innings he should be leaving those.
Somebody needs to have a word with Hales, again so early in the innings there's no need.
V disappointing.
On the plus side, i'm going tomorrow

ooooooo very jealous lammo
I did the Lords tour last September, on a Saturday morning, it over ran and we watched a bit of Middlesex v Yorkshire from up in the media centre. Only a couple of hundred people in, I can only imagine the atmosphere for a Test.
