TBH, with Sri Lanka and Pakistan this summer, I can see those two taking an absolute hatful for not very many. That won't be the last time a team gets skittled for double figures this summer.

Wo. Well done the A-B Express. I wonder how often a team have scored under 300 and made the opposition follow on? |

Follow on clearly the right decision. Unless you had a ticket for Sunday.

The man of the match has gone to Jonny Bairstow for his 140 and nine catches. Tough call between him and Jimmy Anderson but the decision has clearly gone down well with the locals.

Wouldn't argue with Bairstow getting the award, without his innings it would have been a totally different match.

A batsman should always get MoM in conditions very favourable for swing and seam bowling. Bairstow is making the wicketkeeper position his own now.

But they rarely give it to bowlers on batting wickets, i suspect the stats for man of the match are 70% + for the batsmen. See how many bowlers (not all-rounders )you can find near the top of this list stats.espncricinfo.com |

162.4 overs, plus 4 overs for innings changes..? Under 2 days! England bowled well in helpful conditions and Sri Lanka didn't get past Hales and Bairstow in total. Their tail looks poor and their seamers look average. Herath is Eddie Hemmings for the 21st century, surely? 3-0 if the weather holds..? Lord's in June may be the only fly in the ointment. |
