Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Indeed MJ, but look at the stick Cook for doing that last time.

Not batting 4th again is key on this dry and turning wicket...

I was surprised that Ellison didn't play more - given our lack of talented swing bowlers in the late 80s (before Fraser arrived).

Ah - according to Wikipedia, injury then playing apartheid SA did for him.

Wobbly - I assume from the last couple of lines that you married Warney.

My first ever live cricket was Day 4 of the Trent Bridge Test in that 1991 series. I didn't get to see Viv bat, alas, but I did get to see Walsh, Ambrose and Marshall bowling (and a heroic last wicket stand by Daffy and Sid Lawrence)...

Can't see us going for the follow-on if the aussie tail gets out quickly. It's too hot. Bat again, hopefully get 300+ and declare an hour after tea tomorrow. Apart from the heat, it also prolongs the humiliation for them :-)

Marry an Australian? God no!

My husband sparked up a conversation with me by asking if my phone was an iPhone (this was 2008 when they were relatively rare). I said yes and the only thing wrong with it was you couldn't customise ring tones, "what would you have?" he asked.

"Soul Limbo. I'm a bit of a cricket fan"

14 months later we were married and left the church to Soul Limbo.

In the main cricket news of the day, poor old Derbyshire are currently following on and are still (an innings and) 286 runs behind th’mighty Yorkies. Maybe we should have let Lees go for his triple century…

There is self-destructing, and then there is this. We have bowled OK, and put them under sustained pressure I guess, but geez.

Awwww - that's cute (OH has so far proved immune to cricket, especially after watching me attempt to play it)...
