Shortened run-ups for the bowlers and a carpet strip nearby to protect the County Championship wicket which began on the Saturday. Sunday pyjama cricket and the two division National League didn't help it's decline. The four-day County Championship effectively killed it off.

Looks like we're going to have a day and a half to bowl out Glamorgan who will have (I suspect) a target around 400. Sussex v Middlesex at Hove starts next week, with Yorks having Northants at Headingley. The weather might have an impact.....still don't know why we're playing championship cricket at the end of sept....
