Shortened game last night, but England looked really good against NZ in the T20 (T9) last night.

Yep - I thought 9 overs would turn it into a lottery, but England weren't control pretty much from the start. Certainly NZ never really gut going in the chase

I think, following the Pakistan series, they’ve looked a lot sharper. NZ had a slow start on the one dayers, but even in the 3rd one where they performed far better England were way above them.

Anyway less of that as it’s, weather permitting, O Jimmy Jimmy day today.

Although I have to add, that 6 by Sciver-Brunt was brutal.

I was in my thirties when he made his test debut. I'm 61 now! 😮

I watched it when cricket was still in terrestrial TV. My dad deemed to think he was crap and couldn’t bowl straight.

To be fair he was a bit wayward at the start of his career. The perfect control that we see now wasn’t there at the start.

As England are bowling first I’d like to request a 4th innings chase of about 10 runs and Jimmy to open the batting.

I suspect he might emulate Bradman’s final innings in that case!
