Heart in mouth moment yesterday: Younger son was taking part in an lgbt cricket festival in Sutton Coldfield (6 teams, 8 players per team, 10 over games). He was keeping, we were spectating from fine leg boundary. Batter gets bowled and bail flies up into son's face. He goes down onto his knees and is obviously in some discomfort. Immediate thought is Mark Boucher. After a couple of minutes he's OK to continue so we relax. He's got a vivid red mark 1 inch above his left eye - could so easily have been more serious
