Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I still can't get over the fact that they just talk over the ball they're supposed to be commentating on half the time.

I listened to about 20 minutes in the last Test when they had KP on (a warning in itself) arguing with the Indian commentator who was saying batting left handed mid delivery should be banned. They were talking over the play, as you said, but also not arguing the point per se, just re-stating their position. Quite how someone changing their stance as the ball is being delivered somehow conveys an advantage to the batter, I don't know. A rare instance where I'd have to agree with KP. Nonetheless, the whole thing was awful.

They do exactly the same in the football. It's like goals magically appear out of nowhere.

I heard this. KP flounced. I did smile.

Jeez. Just listening.

They were blathering on about something to do with the runout and something or other to do with the new ball.

They missed Jadeja getting his century because they were wittering on.

You could tell because you could hear the crowd reaction before they "commentated" on it.

I thought that they were in India for the commentary, but from their youtube feed, it looks like they're commentating from a screen in London:

I'm sure at least some of the commentary team (e.g. Steve Harmison) were in India for the last test weren't they?

It all seems bizarre. They should give the rights to TMS who will do it properly.
