I though Dizzy had ruled hinmself out and committed to the Tykes for the season? Bet he could be persuaded though....:-)

I am stunned how incompetent the management have looked; 6 months to prepare for this competition, then changing captains at the last minute (and selecting someone else for the job who wasn't worth his place in the side at the time!), changing no 3 at the last second and once again taking a squad which included players who were 'unselectable'. Learning really has not taken place. We need people in charge who can adapt. Having said that, who would fancy being England cricket coach when you see who's coming up in the next year!

But the frustrating thing is it'll take 2-3 months to be sorted, valuable preparation time for a huge year of test cricket down the gurgler. The Aussies were a fucking rabble in 2013, they sacked their coach and got the right man in: 3 weeks later they started an Ashes tour and were feisty at least but well beaten - but the coach knew what he needed to do, 5 months later they annihilated us. We could be competitive in the summer if the right things are done quickly. Time to get rid is TODAY. Surely there is no decision, no debate, no need for some exhaustive review to prove what everyone (including probably the players as much as anyone) just a matter of doing it.

If you have bowlers who can take 20 wickets you're always in the game. Now they've got so many young quicks I can see it being a long time before we beat them again. Our firepower is now dreadfully lacking...
