That fact that until last summer we haven't been playing 50 overs in the counties is of significance but more importantly our players have been incapable of moving on with the development of the limited overs game. The Aussies have managed it. Moores is obsessed with stats -but I couldn't help noticing as I was watching that Sky TV have a stat for everything too. They could probably tell us that Ian Bell batted better after having sausage and mash for tea. It's all irrelevant, what's gone before.
