bbc.co.uk on why England won't win the world cup. Interesting stats.

Those stats 90% under Cook's captaincy and of course utterly vindicate the decision to remove him from that role and the team. We are still miles behind and will do nothing of note this world cup, but at least the journey can begin. Read a brilliant quote a while back that summed us up exactly: 'rest of the world look at ODI's through the lens of T20. England view them through the lens of test matches' |

Given that England definitely won't win, I would love to see New Zealand win

Wrigglers, Teabers, MDOTs, you are so right about Boycott; I can't stand the bloke, but he's generally correct. I too would like to see NZ do well; England seem to have picked another left-hander in no sort of nick to captain the side; I'd like to see Bell/Moeen/Hales as the top 3, with Taylor at four. |

As for who to cheer for, Scotland first and foremost. I don't apply the typical support for anyone playing England to cricket so I'd love to see them surprise everyone (themselves included I don't doubt). Used to live in NZ so I'll join FS and CH in looking for them to do well, and as I'm running Comrades a South African win would give the country back a bit of pride (plus it would stick it to the Aussies ).
