Does seem that Stokes won't bowl as had a couple of spells for Anderson and Robinson now.

And this is the problem for England. Without a full, deep test bowling line up they may struggle to do justice to the Bazball batting. No fit spinner, fast / seamers don't seem to be able to handle the volume (Broad excepted). Doesn't mean they won't still win, but it makes life a lot harder when you get someone like Khawaja digging in well.

TBF I think the issue is no help from the pitch, well the pace bowlers anyway. Archer would be nice here but obviously would be a volume issue.

Going back to a previous discussion, this does feel like Bazball versus crease occupation. And as you probably rightly say, one bowler short means crease occupation becomes a little easier for Australia.

Not seeing any rain on the radar in enough time (2 hours should see a result after tea).

Obviously pitch is a Bazball decision so it does come back down to Bazball.

Several pundits on the radio now have said they also want Stokes to have a bowl.
