Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

If there's a day 5 at Edgbaston, I'll be there.

If there's a day 4 I'll be there, LOL! Are we actually wishing for rain to prolong the matches?!

I also have very pricey Oval day 4/5 tickets. I don't hold that much hope of getting to use them, hahahahaha!!

I'm hoping hoping each team bats for an average of 1.25 days which in theory means day 5 will be epic 🤣

I haven't actually got a ticket as expected day 5 to be available later. I better check that's actually the case!

Dan Lawrence to leave Essex for the lure of Surrey next year. Sad but with Ben Foakes, Surrey will be part ‘Essex’ anyway. Good luck Dan.

This is precisely the point I was making a few weeks ago.

Surrey have the cash to splash on bringing in whomever they want. They've recognised he's unlikely to play test cricket for the foreseeable future, but will make runs in CC, so they've offered him a bunch of cash that noone else can match.

Same as they did with Stoneman. And others.

Essex fans aren’t too happy with Dan, play him as 12th man, drop him for the academy players etc but this one is rather good. Slurrey 😂

Honestly it's an utter disgrace, Slurrey are the equivalent to Man City in the 2nd division, it's absolutely unfair, not too bothered about Lawrence leaving but to them? I am gutted

I still think Eng will get beaten comfortably. Posdibly very dodgy openers v pace, possibly dodgy number 3 given openers, 4 to 6 fine, 7 out of the position from where he scores runs. Spin looks iffy, 2 bowlers coming back from injury, 1 OK. Second best keeper, no proper all-rounder.

Aus have the best attack, best spinner, best middle order, better all rounder.

The men's poll is very tight. 23 predicting an England win, 21 predicting an Australia win, and 3 opting for the draw.

I've changed my mind, I thought England in England with Broad, Anderson and Robinson would nick the series, but a bit like 2019 it'd be Australia as the stronger team overall.

Now with Stokes unable to bowl, Moeen instead of Leach and persisting with Crawley, I think Australia will nick it.

Probably 2 tight tests which could go either way, but Australia nick one and England the other, 2 tests where England get blown away and the Aussies smash them and a bore draw somewhere, likely due to weather.

3-1 Australia.
