She asked why they didn't just bat like in the Hundred?* I patiently explained that it is a different game, that the red ball moves about more, that bowlers can bowl as many overs as they want and set attacking fields with lots of close catchers, so every false shot could go to hand. She glibly replied, well just hit it where there aren't any fielders. * She's a rugby girl but I did manage to get her slightly interested in the hit and giggle. She liked the Trent Rockets kit, and loved Alex Hales getting hit in the plums two balls running.
