How can Yorkshire continue with this rhetoric? And why does the ECB allow it? They admit bullying and racism but nobody is responsible? Shameful. bbc.co.uk |

Saw that and was too angry to post. Clearest example of demonstrable, deeply embedded institutional racism I’ve ever seen. Remember YCCC still think ‘Johnny Foreigner land’ starts 25 miles down the M62. Simply put, they should cease to exist, immediately. The ECB were all over Oliie Robinson for stupid tweets a decade ago but seem incapable of acting in this case. |

YCCC were in my mind when I commented on de Kock that I didn't mind whether people stand or kneel and concentration on the form of gesture is a distraction from the substance. The symbolic gesture is secondary to actually doing the right thing. YCCC are a disgrace

I see there was more information on de Kock and he is back in the fold now. What I didnt realise is that his step mother is black and his sisters are mixed race. This kind of puts a different slant on his personal reasons which were assumed to be racist. The position taken by Yorkshire is awful. |

This is from the ECB website: "We want cricket to be a game for everyone. We want to be a truly inclusive and diverse sport where everyone feels welcome and there is opportunity for all. And we know there is still much work to do before all communities and individuals think ‘cricket is a game for me’." If they truly believe what they have written they must do something about YCCC. |

Indeed, you would have thought they have done sort of conditions for a club to be able to compete in ECB competitions. If not, there should be, perhaps the ECB has looked and realises it can't do much, all rubbish. Warner might turn out to be a huge pain in England's arse. |

Yeah, I'd seen that, Baz. Sort of makes his original position more odd to me, but there we are. YCCC have disregarded everyone bar YCCC throughout this and have only now, 3 months later, provided the full report to the ECB. The great tragedy is that all that will happen is that there will be 'education' programmes instead of real change. Education IS key, but I rather suspect the learning (in its widest sense) will be lost. What I am heartened by, is my 5 year old daughter coming home and telling me the story of 'Rosa' the other day (Rosa Parks). We were certainly never even aware of the civil rights movement. |

The ECB only received the report on Thursday, so it may be too early for them to have taken action.
