Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

During bad light, consider this:

Teams covered on free to air BBC TV in "flagship" new "competition" (combining Mens and Womens games):

Surrey: 3 games
Lancs: 6 games
Notts: 3 games
Hamps: 4 games
Middlesex: 4 games
Glamorgan: 3 games
Warwicks: 2 games
Yorkshire: 1 (mens) game.

Not a very even spread...

Even if it were a proper competition, but it's not. Still should expect equitable distribution of games...

Makes sense to me. No-one wants to go to Leeds.

My apologies missed the last game on the BBC list.

Should be Warwicks with 3 games and Yorkshire with 2 games.

Point still stands.

More games for London/southern teams and for some reason Lancashire....

Only 4 of the games (2x double headers) are at Old Trafford (not that this is a point), although this is 22% of the games shown by the BBC.

It's not the choice of home teams - other than the 4 at old Trafford, they're only doing 2 home games for each of the other teams.

It's the choice of the *away* teams that has caused the disproportionate coverage.

This type of analysis *should* be someone's job - it's bloody obvious that they should be spreading air time equally amongst all the teams. Even in shit "competitions"
