Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Greppers, I am more and more convinced that Buttler is potentially the least best option for the wk position.

Bairstow I think is the better **test** batsman (especially coming in at 6/7) and Foakes is the best gloveman of the lot by all accounts.

I will laugh at Buttler's leave. Just as soon as I've finished chuntering about Archer batting above Extras.

What Buttler does bring is the crash bang wallop.

And he *is* good at the type of innings he played last summer with Woakes.

Buttler's face fits, that's all I have to say on the matter.

Could we pencil him for our 2021 Unconvincing XI?

So far we have, I think

R J Burns
J C Buttler

Yes, I suspect that Buttler's cemented place is purely down to the Ed Smith/Dan Norcross axis of reasoning.

(which goes - good t20/ODI and hand/eye therefore **must** be in test team no matter what)

On the conversion stats, I guess the middle order are less likely to get a full turn on an ultra flat wicket as the top 3 or 4 could have put on 300 but the time they get in
