Broad with a toothbrush moustache would be hilarious but for some reason, I imagine wicket-keepers taking best to goose-stepping.

PS How does Pope have an average of 47?! He's scratched around for about 8 every time I've watched him...

It's been interesting to catch up on how people first got into cricket. The first match I attended was seeing Glamorgan beat the Australian tourists at Swansea in 1968. I particularly remember Alan Jones getting out on 99. (I see he has recently been awarded his England cap for the unofficial tests against the Rest of the World 50 years ago - now that would have been a good trivia question - who was England's most recently capped player?). It was later that month that Gary Sobers scored his 36 off one over at the same venue.

In the late 1960's in the days before regular daytime TV, BBC Wales broadcast live coverage of many of Glamorgan's County Championship matches (which explains why Gary Sobers feat was captured on film). After being able to watch a thrilling match beating Essex by just one run in 1969, the new school year had started before the next match during which they clinched the title, so I missed the finale despite running back from school at the end of the day hoping to catch it before it finished. I had to wait until 1997 and a trip down to Taunton to actually see them win it.

Thanks TRO, I just went outside, as the sun came out, very humid indeed....Root in early, Stokes guaranteed a duck, relay on Pope and Buttler......I reckon Dom Bess will be Top Scorer.
