My gob is still hanging open at the news that there are forms of contraception that stop periods completely! I'm *really* uninformed!

I got a prescription for the combined pill in advance of TW07 to avoid carrying tampons on an ultra but only took about 7 or 8 due to very sore chesticles. Imagine a couple of clementines trying to turn into watermelons...

Wonder if they can do these things at the well woman clinic (which just happens to be on my afternoon off)?

My class of 13 year olds have just had a science lesson on how easily STIs can spread. It involved every kid having a pot of fake bodily fluids (watery milk), two of which had starch solution added so they looked the same but would turn blue with a squirt of iodine. They had to exchange fluids randomly with five other people in the class then "get tested". I was pleased at how knowledgeable they were about avoiding risks and how unembarrassed they were in discussing yucky bits.

Well a little update-the GP has decided to give me a break from depo jab and see what happens. I've got a prescription for Rivotril should the brain not like the hormone changes....at the moment things seem OK-seizure frequency remaining about the same but to be honest given some of the stress Ive had recently any changes could be put down to that.

Have to see GP again when my next depo jab would be due, or can see her sooner should their be any issues.

Well I've nearly got to the end of my first three months on the pill and so far so good... I think I should mention to my doctor that I've been having a 'period' for over a week now.

I've been on the pill for about 18 years. Probably not that healthy, but it works for me so my doctor can get stuffed if they think they can try and make me change.
