at the risk of dragging the thread back onto topic (sorry) - opinions on the POP?
i loved it at first but have had sore boobs lately.. and they're growing :0 (which i don't need btw, and isn't good for running)... all of me is growing in fact but i'm not sure that's all down to the pill.

erm... let's think... possibly nearly two years?? i had to stop the COP due to migraines.
i thought it was great for a long time... no periods at all for me since i took the first pill (though i believe others can have a continuous one!!!) but now i'm beginning to wonder about the weight thing, and i def. have sore boobs as if i have pmt (can't be pregnant either as i suspect it's also lowered my libido a lot).

I get sore boobs anyway so hopefully the POP wouldn't make them any worse... I just want to go on a pill that you have to take every day as I was rubbish at starting up the new packet after the 7 day break when I was on the COP!

how old are you?
Doc delightfully told me that it was less reliable than COP but 'at my age' that i'd be ok!!!
I was 31.

I had the Mirena fitted and I had the most terrible job getting it taken out, as my doctor to me to go to the family planning clinic. They lost my file, no one would claim responsibility for removing it.. Finally taken out when a growth was found on my cervic and when I had the proceedure to remove it, the took out the mirena at the same time and was informed it had been fitted incorrectly and had caused the growth which luckily was non-malignant and had it had damaged both my filopian tubes...
I now have to go for a smear every year just to make sure everything is fine!
So to say i am not a fan is an understatement

I'm 30... lol at John!! Thanks Lizzie, I think I'll just tell my doctor that I have to be prescribed a pill I take every day or else it will end in disaster!!
